Some History:

Our Birth

Switzer Tank Lines, Inc. originally started in 1996 as Brees and Switzer Tank Lines, Inc. in Greefield, Indiana with four trucks.

In 1997, Montford Switzer struck out on his own under the new name Switzer Tank Lines, Inc. and moved to Anderson, Indiana.  Many of his drivers chose to make the move with him.  His family soon joined him in his new endeavor as well.   Within months, Switzer doubled in size.  Growth has steadily continued throughout the years.  Space constraints eventually forced Switzer to seek a larger facility.

In 2000, Montford had a vision for the former Brooks Ketchup facility in Mount Summit, Indiana.  Two years later, Switzer moved from its Anderson facility to a 10 acre lot with an office building in Mount Summit, Indiana.  With the help of the entire family, the property was soon restored.  For years, Montford and his daughter, Angela, ran the 24/7 operation with the help of one other person.  While the staff has grown, the business is still owned and operated by the Switzer family.  Both members are actively involved in the day to day operations.
